Can I pick up my purchase?

Absolutely! We would be happy to have you pick up your purchase. It is faster than shipping and it saves you money. Please contact us to arrange local pick up.

Do you have faster shipping?

Yes, if you need faster shipping, please call and make your purchase over the phone.

Can you please explain your used/vintage condition categories for sheet music?

Used/Vintage books are previously owned and condition therefore varies.

Like New - a book that appears to have been purchased but with little to no signs of actual use

Excellent - a book in almost new condition. It may have minimal markings, such as a previous owners name on the cover, but the music is unmarked. We may have clipped the front cover's corner to help show this is a used book.

Very Good - a book that may have small amounts markings and some signs of use, but is otherwise in nice shape

Good - a book that may have markings or pages with folds, stickers, or possibly small tears, but is still easily readable and well bound

Fair - a book that has significant markings and or damage - a clear description of condition issues will be included with any products labeled as "fair."

What is your return policy?

   All sales are final on digital and audio media, as well as on new items that have been opened, except in the case of an item being defective, damaged when received, or grossly misrepresented. Please carefully read product descriptions and study product pictures to ensure that you want to purchase what you are purchasing.

   Exchanges on (non-digital) sheet music will be allowed within 10 days if returned in the condition they were purchased, however the buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, if applicable.

   Musical instruments may be returned within 30 days, minus the cost of shipping and a 10% restocking fee (buyer is responsible for paying return shipping, which must include adequate insurance). Musical instruments may only be returned or exchanged if brought back if in the condition in which they were sold. Returns or exchanges made for musical instruments made entirely via local pick up (i.e. no shipping involved) will wave the restocking fee, if the instrument is still in the condition in which it was sold (however brass and woodwind instruments may incur a  cleaning fee).

How long are your lessons?

Typically we give half hour lessons once a week, however longer lessons can be arranged.

What age should my child begin piano lessons? Am I too old to start?

You are never too old to start piano lessons. Teens, adults, and even retirees can enjoy learning (or re-learning) to play an instrument.

Typically for children we recommend waiting until after Kindergarten to begin (starting school can be hard difficult transition), however some students do just fine starting at a younger age while others are better off waiting until they are older. Parents are usually a good judge of their own child's maturity level and attention span, so we will defer to your decision on the proper age to start. Having some development of fine motor skills and basic reading skills are beneficial to have beforehand, but those can be learned as part of beginner piano lessons too.

What performing opportunities do you provide?

We have two large recitals each year, typically in May and December. Participation is encouraged but not required.
